Who we are

Post-Independence 1974
On the soil of a war-ravaged new Bangladesh, with a bold vision of rebuilding, a farsighted man—valiant freedom fighter and industrialist Md. Nurul Islam—began a journey. What started with a single factory has today transformed into one of the country’s largest industrial conglomerates—Jamuna Group. Over time, Jamuna Group expanded from textiles to electronics, from real estate to media—and developed one of South Asia’s largest shopping malls, Jamuna Future Park.

Inspired by the founder’s ideals, under the leadership of worthy successors, a new chapter was added to the nation’s industrial sector. In this continuation, Bangladesh witnessed the rise of one of South Asia’s largest modern paper industries—Jamuna Paper Mills Limited. Located in Habiganj along the Dhaka–Sylhet Highway, spanning over 500,000 square feet, it stands as a marvel of technology.

It is not just a factory—it is a shining symbol of Bangladesh’s industrial capability. With a daily production capacity of 820 metric tons, this is one of the largest paper mills in South Asia. For the first time in Bangladesh, Jamuna Paper Mills introduced a state-of-the-art four-layer system. Through the integration of European precision engineering and Chinese technology—our paper has surpassed even the standards of imported products.

From food and beverage industries, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and personal care, from premium to industrial packaging—
Jamuna Paper Board is now a trusted name across every sector. Beyond packaging, Jamuna Paper Board represents a guarantee of creativity.

Flawless finishing, elegance, and long-lasting durability make it the first choice of the country’s leading printing houses. In internationally standardized laboratories, the quality of every sheet is meticulously ensured. Because every sheet produced by Jamuna Paper Mills is not just paper—it is a symbol of trust for thousands of brands.

Jamuna Paper Mills Limited has created 8,000 to 10,000 jobs both directly and indirectly, bringing new momentum to the local economy. Responsibility toward the environment— a commitment of Jamuna Group. Through modern waste treatment systems, energy efficient technology, and recycling processes—we are working toward a greener future. With the goal of building a self-reliant Bangladesh, reducing import dependency and elevating domestic industries to global standards—this is the commitment of Jamuna Paper Mills Limited.
